New Homemade Delight: Tomato Thokku
Tomatoes are often the quickest to spoil in our kitchen, so we've tried something new: Tomato Thokku (a pickle-like preparation). It tastes great, though Sreeba thinks adding our homemade vinegar would improve it even more, but I’m a bit hesitant.
Nathan was pleasantly surprised when he came home from school yesterday evening—he was the first to try it with plain white rice and was thrilled with the flavor!
A highlight of the process was cooking it entirely on a firewood stove, and surprisingly, there was no smoke involved. It’s been a delightful and successful trial!
