Kalaalayam Nursery Makeover

With Nathan occupied by the pressures of 10th-std classes, I took the initiative to renovate and upgrade our farm nursery. It'll be a surprise for him when he finally gets to see it, though sadly, it’ll have to be through a screen for now.

The nursery now boasts new grow bags to hold plants for our seed bank. Every plant destined for the farm will first grow in these bags, where we can provide proper nutrition and rainwater, ensuring healthy initial growth. We've even stored rainwater from last year, still clean and worm-free, which will serve as a vital tonic for our baby plants.

Seed trays are already set up, and yesterday we planted chillies, tomatoes, and several varieties of brinjals. Over the next few days, even more seeds will find their place. As of now, we have nearly 100 tree saplings ready for planting—probably more than we’ll need. I’m thinking of sharing some with nearby friends.
