Our First Star Gooseberry Tree started yielding

We are overjoyed to announce that our very first Star Gooseberry tree at Kalaalayam Farm has started yielding! 😊 This moment is especially heartwarming for me, as it rekindles cherished memories from my childhood.

During my elementary school days, I used to spend every holiday under a Star Gooseberry tree that stood in front of our house. Those days were filled with the simple joys of climbing the tree, playing beneath its leafy canopy, and savoring the tangy, refreshing berries. I haven’t tasted a Star Gooseberry in decades, and experiencing this flavor again feels nothing short of divine.

The wonder of the Star Gooseberry tree never ceases to amaze me. It's incredible how this tree draws in so much water, enriches it with essential vitamins, and stores it in these small, green fruits with a delightfully mild sweet and sour taste.
